In the past 10 or so years, a new genre of music has gradually become more and more mainstream--"Contemporary Christian Music," or "CCM." CCM appeals especially to young people who like the sound of heavier music and sensation of power that it holds, yet dislike the often objectionable lyrics. Would he apply this same criterion to everything else in life? For example, do you believe in the President of the United States? Have you ever seen him in the flesh? He might counter that you have seen his photograph, but this does not meet the original criterion. Such photos are evidence based upon other evidence. The most important book in all the world is the book called the Bible. It contains 66 books that were written over a period of about 1,600 years by approximately 36 authors who were inspired by God. In our King James Bibles there are 39 books in what is called the Old Testament and 27 books is what is called the New Testament. The "Old Testament" is more accurately referred to as the Hebrew scriptures and the "New Testament" as the Greek scriptures. |

Even with all of the modern conveniences and technological advances, we are extremely preoccupied and over-committed. Many are pursuing education, careers, raising families, and trying to meet financial responsibilities. These and countless other "things" consume us and we hardly have time to stop and think! Please... take a few moments to think now! |
